Chair Woman

October 9, 2008

I found this chair on the street on garbage day and carried it all the way home and up three flights of stairs. Leprechaun was embarrassed but also, I think, a little impressed.

Anyway, it was filthy and disgusting, so it lived on the porch for awhile while I ruminated on its fate. Last weekend I finally scrubbed it down, sanded it, and painted it a soft gray I got for a buck out of the Oops bin at Home Depot.

Pretty, right? I think it looks like it’s made of clay. Leprechaun remains unconvinced, but the Uglies sure love it.

Love it! Hubby came home from a trip to the dump once with an end table. It was in pretty good condition and he couldn’t just let it get tossed in the trash pile, so he tossed it in the back of the truck and brought it home!

I think your chair is a super find and it looks nice all cleaned up!
